People Flow

Recognising the Sea-Trek attraction is a themed adventure ride as opposed to a thrill ride. People flow calculations are based on giving patrons the maximum practical duration of the undersea adventure. These calculations are further based on achieving an hourly operational capacity relating to potential average daily projections and peak holiday periods including major localised events 'Gold Coast 600, Schoolies, Gold Coast marathon, etc.

Calculations

• Submarine Capacity 50 passengers
• Turnaround time 3-4 min approx.
• Duration of ride 12 min approx.
• Each submarine 200 passengers p/hr
• 4 x 50 passenger submarines - 800 passengers p/hr

To achieve the preferred minimum turnaroundtime will require simple and effective entry and exit procedures for the submarine passengers at the loading dock. Pre-start-up rehearsals will determine the ideal (average) safe and efficient turnaround time.
